Born 1940 in Balingen (Germany)

 

1960 – 1962 Studies for primary and lower secondary school teacher.

 

1962 – 1964 Teacher at a rural primary school, teaching first and second grade in one class.

 

1964 – 1971 Doctoral studies (Education, Philosophy, History) at the Eberhard-Karl-University Tuebingen under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Otto Friedrich Bollnow. (www.otto-friedrich-bollnow.de) - Doctor Thesis: Das pathosophische Denken Viktor von Weizsaeckers. Ein Beitrag der medizinischen Anthropologie zu einer

 anthroplogisch fundierten Paedagogik (Mainz 1974). (The Pathosophical Thinking of Viktor von Weizsaecker. A Contribution of the Medical Anthropology for an Anthroplogical Based Education).

 

1971 - 1975 Four Years Residence in Japan. Lecturer at Reitaku-University in Kashiwa.

 

1975 Return to Germany. Lecturer for Special Education, College of Education, Cologne

 

1981 – 2006 Professor, Chair for Education of mentally retarded and multiply disabled people, Heilpaedagogische Faculty, University of Cologne

Since 1975 married with Kyoko Nakamatsu. (*1952 Naha, Okinawa)

Two daughters: Esther-Hatsume * 1975, Naohmi *1980

 

Esther-Hatsume is married and lives with her husband on a demeter-Farm. She has two children.

Naohmi lives with her partner in Berlin. She also has two children.
